Another one bites the dust

Well here I sit at another juncture in my career. One more of my co-workers just pulled the pin. His comment was that it was infinitely better getting in early than being in the mad scramble out the door. I sincerely wonder if he is right. Should I pull out now or wait to see what will happen? I just don’t know. I do know that the first good offer I get I am out of here – my current average is one every two months so who knows.

The smart money at the moment is that we, humble employees, will be told of our future around the 25th of July – stay tuned. I guess I don’t like being treated with such disrespect.

Hmm

The reasons supporting the rumour are very tenuous. Economically it just doesn’t make sense given an average up lift of 20% plus other housing/education and travel benefits. It especially doesn’t make sense give the number of employees that will leave with the increased consequential safety risks. If it does happen it will be a) because someone in power made a commitment to do it without thinking it through and must now follow through or lose face (yes we are that sort of organisation, or, b) there was a political agreement with the government of the area we would be move to ,or, c) a combination of the above.

Anyhow enough of those depressing musings……..
